World of Wrestling

On Monday Seth Rollins defended the tag team championships against the Authors of Pain. Rollins got smashed by the team and they ended capturing the belts. Afterwards Rollins got attacked by Dean Ambrose but I'd like to focus on the unexpected title win by the Authors of Pain. This literally happened right after I thought that AOP where going to Survivor Series as tag champs. I think they're in for a good run especially with Drake Maverick by their side. I feel that AOP have been greatly underrated by the bookers in WWE. They have so much potential but are being held back and honestly think this title run could save them.
During Smackdown Nicki Cross made her long awaited main roster debut when she challenged Becky Lynch for her title. Whilst she was unsuccessful it was her long awaited main roster debut and could be the start to something special. Cross has a lot of potential on the main roster but this depends on how she booked quite a lot and hell she might be able to save Sanity from their current state on the main roster.
After his surprisingly decent tag match at Crown Jewel, it was revealed that Triple H had suffered a torn pectoral muscle. This injury is absolutely horrible especially considering his age and recovery could put him out for over a year and possibly longer. However there is one good thing at that is the fact that we might see more of Michaels in the ring. I honestly think Michaels is currently the best part timer on the roster and I'll be happy if he were to win a world title however this is a big IF.
According to an interview with Tokyo Sports after his match with Chris Jericho Tetsuya Naito was approached by WWE. Apparently both sides met at Naito's favourite cafe in Tokyo and apparently Naito left to go to the toilet but instead left the cafe leaving the WWE officials to pay the bill. This somes Naito up perfectly, a funny and savage lad who jokes about a lot. If this actually happened I wouldn't be surprised if this means it will take a while for them to meat Naito again.
Throughout the past couple of weeks the matches for Survivor Series have become finalised. Matches like Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch wre the early reveals and I honestly think this year's Survivor Series is going to be one of the best ones. Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch is a match I'm so excited to see especially to see how it affects Becky's character and current path. AOP vs the Bar is guaranteed to good, both sides are capable of great matches and together they are guaranteed to put on a classic. Another classic cruiserweight match is set for the show, Mustafa Ali vs Buddy Murphy and honestly I'm so excited for this as it is almost guaranteed to be phenomenal. Shinsuke Nakamura vs Seth Rollins has also been confirmed and again this match has so match potential but the question is whether it will reach that. Whilst other matches have been confirmed theses ones caught my eye.
A couple of Wrestle Kingdom matches have also been confirmed. One that really stands out is Jay White vs Kazuchika Okada, this match is guaranteed to be good I mean both men are incredibly talented and I believe they would have great chemistry. Next is Taiji Ishimori vs Kushida for the IWJP junior heavyweight championship, I have high hopes for this match as both men are phenomenally gifted in the ring and could steal the show. Finally is Chris Jericho vs Tetsuya Naito for the IWJP intercontinental championship, this will probably be a more equal match than their previous match and so probably much better.
According to Wrestle votes Drew McIntyre is set for a big 2019. This makes it seem that the company is preparing to push him to become the new face of the company and wouldn't be suprised if he were to win the Universal title. Drew has so much potential as the face of WWE. He has the look, he can cut great promos and can back it up in the ring. So overall I think Drew is perfect to be the face of WWE.
Overall despite recent weeks not being the best I think everyone should look forward to the next couple of months in wrestling dew to them looking pretty good.Don't forget to subscribe for email notifications on when we post and hope you enjoye. See ya ;)
