How British Wrestling is being held back.

British Wrestling is on the rise rise and ic constantly growing in popularity. With the involvement of WWE, British Wrestling can now be accessed by everyone across the globe but something's holding it back, even in Britain British Wrestling isn't too popular and I think this is due to multiple reasons.
        The first issue is with a lack of mainstream attention. Whilst World of Sport airs in the second biggest channel in the U.K it still isn't that popular or at least isn't discussed a lot. This makes little sense as the old series of World of Sport back in the 80s was indorsed by the Queen. I think the main issue is the lack of media coverage or at least when it comes to discussion of the topic and show. Whilst things like WWE Live and NXT U.K are covered in local media it lack on the main nation wide media.
       Another issue is the lack of competition from the BBC which is the number one entertainment company in the U.K. I honestly think that this is what's holding the UK wrestling scene from becoming as popular as it use to be. Without having the biggest entertainment company getting involved with the scene I view it taking a couple more years for British Wrestling to really take off in the UK at this rate and even longer before it takes off overseas.
       One of the more constantly occurring issues is foreign competition. This is due to the top two wrestling companies ( WWE and NJPW) being ridiculously more popular than U.K companies like World of Sport and Progress. The simple issue is that British Wrestling isn't big enough to reach foreign seas and that could change at some point but not now. If British wrestling somehow did become more popular I see it smashing NJPW and WWE ou the park.
        Overall whilst British Wrestling is not the most popular thing in the world it is growing and that's key. Don't get me wrong it's not like wrestling in the UK is unpopular as it is almost everyone knows abou people like John Cena and the Undertaker but actual British Wrestling is that well known here and I think one day it will be but the question is when it will be.

ROH star backstage at Raw, ROH star Debuts on NXT, Tyler Breeze going to NXT, NXT UK Takeover, Huge European star to NXT and more

World of Wrestling Blog 19 At this weeks Raw, ROH star Silas Young was spotted backstage. Whilst I'm not familiar with his work from what I've seen he's a very WWE style wrestler as in he sort of reminds me of Triple H for some reason. He also seems to be good on the mic and could be a good addition to the roster but I hope he starts off on NXT as I feel that this is best way to get him a fanbase in WWE. I recommend looking at his match with ACH on YouTube as whilst it isn't the best match you'll ever see I feel it's a good introduction.        Onto another ROH star being joining WWE, Punishment Martinez made his debut on NXT at the recent tapings. On his debut he faced Matt Riddle and after the match Riddle was attacked by Khasius Ohno. Whilst ,like Young , I'm quite unfamiliar with his work and I think seeing him on NXT would be a good introduction to him.       Talking about the recent NXT tapings, Tyler Breeze returned to the place that made him.
