Smackdown 14th August 2018 review 

Smackdown opened up with Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Carmella lined up firing shots at each other. The segment built up some hype but the highlight was the line " You're a diva in a women's era," from Charlotte, this increased the tension and summed up Carmella's gimmick entirely. I wish that this point would be more highlighted upon by the company, why not call Carmella the queen of divas, hell even put on a shirt and sell it to make a quick buck. Anyway after that Paige came out and made a tag match between Becky Lynch and Charlotte  and absolution. The match was good but at moments did get a bit sloppy. The match ended with Becky taking on absolution by herself and winning with a disarmer on Mandy Rose, the key thing is the backstage segment between Charlotte and Becky where Charlotte seemed almost jealous of Becky winning the match, this built tension and made the Summerslam match a lot more intriguing. Overall I rate the match 2.8 star.
          Following this the Bludgeon brothers beat a tag team called Triple Threat. This helped build more momentum on them before their title defence at Summerslam. Following this was one of the three great video packages on the feud between the Miz and Daniel. These video packages built the whole feud up in one night and made their upcoming match a definite must watch. I hope that the video packages on Summerslam are this good.
         To follow this up was a good match between Sanity and the New Day, whilst there were some rest holds and ads I still found the match enjoyable and was one of Sanity's best matches on the main roster. Sanity lost and overall I rate the match 2.65 stars. Following this was another Daniel Bryan vs Miz promo and this one focused on the Talking Smack interactions between Miz and Bryan and also featured Bryan talking about quitting  WWE. This made the feud more personal and real. To follow this great video we had Aiden English singing a song so as to apologise to Rusev and Lana. Then he lost a crappy match to Andrade Cien Almas. I give it 0.5 Stars
        To follow this up we had another Daniel Bryan and Miz video and this one focused on Bryan's in ring return. Theses packages really stole the show and really got me excited for Summerslam. Following this was a match between Shelton Benjamin and Jeff Hardy, the action built later on and I found the match to be quite good and enjoyable but was plagued with Summerslam ads in the early to mid stages. Jeff won, overall  I give it 2.75 stars. Following the match Shinsuke attacked Hardy whilst Orton creepily watched. There was a great bit where Jeff reversed a Kinshasa into a Twist of Fate, this needs to happen in the Summerslam match. 
        To finish the show there was segment were Samoe Joe read a supposed letter from Aj's wife and that's really it. This feud is being so poorly executed, the only good thing so far has been Joe's promo skills and that's it. Overall I rate the go home show of smackdown 3 Stars

Fighting With My Family Review

Fighting With My Family Review Fight with my family attempts to tell the story of the transition from the British indies to WWE made by WWE superstar Paige. The film is very entertaining and succeeds at creating drama and very funny moments. Whilst the film is filled with inaccuracies, it acts as an interesting insight into the life  of Paige despite being incredibly inaccurate. However I found the cinematography to be quite basic and some of the acting to be lacking. One thing the film succeeds incredibly at is comedy. I personally found that the comedy was well spaced out and used when appropriate. Scenes like the opening or the dinner scene where Paige and Zak find out about their WWE tryouts to be very good. The jokes in the film appeal to adults and children alongside wrestling fans and non wrestling fans.
