So Wrestlemania has come and gone and it was okay but Takeover was better. Though this year's Wrestlemania wasn't the best it had some good matches like Ronda's amaizing debut match against Stephanie and Triple H. But it had some disappointments like Aj Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura but if I had to pick the most disappointing thing I would say is the re-branding of Finn Bàlor. Forget the real rock and roller and the demon king, instead Bàlor is now the rainbow warrior. If I'm being honest Bàlor is my favourite wrestler and it hurts me to see this happen to him. Bàlor should be presented as a badass that fought his way to the top, not a mid carder who only cares about dressing up as a pack of skittles. I thought that this year would be the best year for Bàlor in WWE as he started to team with Gallows and and Anderson but this only lead to a crappy faction that did nothing, in fact the only sign they were still together was Gallows and Anderson wearing Bàlor club themed gear. Overall I hope Bàlor gets repackaged as well as getting a push into a Universal championship feud.
This year's superstar shake up was a bit of a waste of time. I mean mostly jobbers were traded and I don't think that it will change much from before. I guess it was nice that Jeff won the U.S championship but he'll probably lose it soon. Overall it was bit disappointing and had a lot of lost potential.
One thing in these past few weeks that really surprised me was the Rusev Greatest Royal Rumble issue. In case you didn't know Rusev was scheduled to wrestle The Undertaker but there was an issue that change the match to Chris Jericho vs The Underaker and then the match changed back. Most people thought that this was due to Rusev wanting to leave the company however it seems to have been working visa issues and not contract disagreements.
On a more sad note earlier this week the wrestling legend Bruno Samartino died. This came as a shock to me and many others. RIP Bruno Samartino we will all miss you.
To end on a more positive note, the Greatest Royal Rumble is around the corner and is being handled as a huge event by WWE. The match card is decent but what interests me more is the Royal Rumble it's self. The reason I'm interested is if it'll feel to drawn out or if it'll be able to keep up a fast pace that will keep entertaining. I think that Braun might win but I have high hopes for Rey Mysterio
